Sound is clear and brilliant as you'd expect from a Bach alto, which is a smaller bore than more typical alto trombones. It is in very good condition with minor wear and a few pings and scratches. There are a few small dents in the slide crook. Interestingly, it's a bit of a mismatch but I think in a good way. For all the latest updates, like us on Facebook! I took it out, assembled its beautiful slender parts, deposited some spit on the slide and proceeded to play the Prelude to the third act of "Lohengrin" which I'd never played before in my life.

Beautifully crafted rotary flugelhorn from Josef Lidl in the Czech Republic. New Small Shank and Bass Trombone Mouthpiece Models and the "Mercury Line" from Bob Reeves/The Brass Ark! BL: >>I still think it's more likely that he wrote things for simpler reasons (like "sounds good" and "I've got guys to play it" and "people like listening to it" and "fits the mood") than only or mainly trying to make a neo-archaic effect in cantatas. When tuning if the pitch is flat what do you do? (choose BEST Answer)?

Its an old product invented for antiques but its online now after 30 years. The slide is in excellent shape with no wear to the inner tubes. It was carefully buffed and relacquered with baked epoxy lacquer. I love the look of well polished brass, but the work can be daunting especially when the level of tarnish is bad. Perhaps it will be your trombone? $8500 with custom dark brown leather Cronkhite gig bag.

York and Sons tubas has finally been reproduced to a never-before imagined degree of exactness of tone and timbre in a modern day instrument. Trombones and French horns simply lack the potential playing speed of a euphonium because rotary valves and a slide can't move as fast as pistons. In addition, there are often doublings in the Trumpet section - Piccolo and Flugelhorn being the most common. This model was designed in conjunction with famous tuba soloist, Pat Sheridan.

Second, and very much like Soaring Strings, we sought to really limit the controls needed to achieve a believable brass line. Some instrument makers' names are unfamiliar to me (not Conn, of course) and perhaps these might be modern reconstructions, however in the fotos they all appear to be modern versions. The bell flare shows some repair scares and has the usual scratches you would expect of a tuba that has been played.
